Still working on Windows 7?
Now is a great time to upgrade as Microsoft has ramped up a complete redesign of their operating system: Windows 10 is set to officially launch on July 29.
For the first time, Microsoft is offering free upgrades to versions of Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Mobile, and Windows 10 Pro.
In total, are 6 variations of Windows 10: Home, Mobile, Pro, Enterprise, Education, and Mobile Enterprise. Businesses will benefit most from the exciting new features available with Windows 10 Enterprise. These new features and updates include:
- Fewer upgrades
- Longer support lifecycle
- Mobile device management
- Converged admin controls
- Automatic policy resolution
Plus:
Device Guard – Windows is introducing facial recognition software that will forever change the way you log into your device. Passwords can be easy to steal or guess, so Microsoft is making sure you’re more secure than ever. Using biometric authentication, facial recognition, iris, or fingerprints can now be used to unlock devices.
Enterprise Data Protection – This new feature separates personal data from corporate data on a device. Microsoft designed the feature to help ensure your sensitive business data is never shared with unauthorized parties, accidently or intentionally.
Upgrading & Provisioning – This new version of Windows will continue to update itself. Gone are the days of an OS release every 3 years; having an OS that instantly updates itself has several advantages, ensuring you’re always working securely and with the latest technology.
As the way you do work continues to evolve, Microsoft is always expanding and offering innovative new features to help you thrive.
